The Silk Road Perpetual Effects

Through out the years, the silk road was winds through different cities, changing and bringing new culture and religions to this cities. Buddhism was of the religion the silk road had brought in different cities like Dunhuang city changing landmarks such as Mogao Cavs and culture, constricted buildings such as Dunhuang museum, to be a focal point through out the years for the tourists to visit it.

Archaeologist noticed the big acceptance of the tourists to the place in general so they decide to build up a museum between the city and the Mogao cavs to be connecting and major points though out the years for the tourists and to be a major study for them.

Ancient Egyptian technology encompassed many different types of devices, such as the ramp, levers, rope, paper, pottery and even the wheel. The use of these devices and advancements were used in many different facets throughout Egyptian history to include maritime developments like ships and lighthouses, but also in large monumental construction projects such as buildings, ancient pyramids and ornamental structures such as the Great Sphinx. Pharaohs and Kings ruled the land and wanted to preserve their legacies in the form of these structures.

Who was to remember them though? How were they to be remembered? Sure, each of them presumably were enshrined in one of these structures as a burial ground, surrounded by their riches and ancient languages written on walls for future people to read, but was it to only stay in Egypt? Only those who helped create these wonders wanted to share the wealth of information discovered over many years. That's where a small faction of Egyptian Architects and Engineers quietly joined together, to form a cleverly named underground guild called, "The Obelisks of Amon-Ra."

Their sole charter was to secretly set out to share the knowledge they gathered over the years about the massive Egyptian architectural structures, and the technology behind their construction. They wished to share their knowledge with the rest of the world, but needed an avenue by which to share. Various members of the organization had traveled East, to various parts of Asia and discovered what was referred to as the Silk Road. Though it is an actual mapped path that leads from the Mediterranean to the China Sea, through Arabia and Persia, there had never been anyone from Egypt travel the road for fear of getting caught by their leaders.

The task was a daunting and stressful undertaking, but these men were prepared to take the risk. It is said that finally, after years of collecting scrolls and plans, the group set out. During an evening, when the stars of the Dendera Zodiac were aligned with those of their aptly-named leader, Amon-ra they set out quietly and covertly towards the Silk Road in hopes of meeting with Historians and other Architects and Engineers who may want to see what they present.

For months and months, the Obelisks traveled, meeting people along the way, expressing their desire to share the wealth of knowledge they have gained. They had to be careful though. If word made it back to their leaders of Arabia that they had fled, they feared their lives may certainly be in jeopardy. But, where to meet? Could they find a safe-haven to share their information? Who would listen to them? Word has gotten to them that another great war has started in their lands. Would they be safe? Who could they trust?

Finally, as the group traveled through a mountainous region near the Himalayas, they ran across a man in a town called Kashgar, named simply as Acharya. He was a slight man, with a long beard and a wondrous face. He had been sitting on a stoop, in front of a building on the street with 9 children surrounding him, telling them stories of great lands with ancient gods who protected it. He seemed to be painting a picture of other places, leaving the children and any passersby with an optimistic, yet mysterious notion of fantastic things to learn if they could just work their way out of Kashgar.

After the children dispersed, members of the Obelisks began conversing with Acharya. They were careful not to overly state the specifics of the information they carried, but were interested to hear from the old man where they could meet such people as himself to share the wealth of knowledge that now burdened them on this journey. After taking a moment of pause, Acharya said, "Dunhuang. That is where you will meet your students. A place along the Silk Road between the densely populated colony and the Mogao Caves. It isn't easy to find, but you should discover its location near a pediment in the dunes. There, you will be able to share your archives. If you've made it to the caves of 1000 Buddhas, you have gone too far."

Without any further hesitation, Acharya gave the group a warm smile and slowly walked off in to the viscous crowd of people in the street; disappearing like a ghost. Immediately, the men began the next leg of their journey, towards Dunhuang and the Mogao Caves.

This is where the story is left uncertain. There is no record of the rest of the journey once the guild left the teacher in Kashgar. There were rumors of their travels in to Dunhuang, but nothing more than that, rumors. Did they make it to this pediment in the sand? Were they able to share their technology? Or was it all a farce and tails of a secret society who desperately wished to get their story told? After all, who really did build those pyramids? Even in modern time, a monumental undertaking and some of the human race's greatest feats. Only more time and exploration could tell. Maybe we can see inside this hidden classroom in the sand? Just maybe... that is where their lost scrolls are secretly archived?
